Smithmaster RCMK SCR PRO Red Edition review start with “how fast can you get a car with great rims?“
So, here’s the scoop: I ordered my car on a Sunday night, and it landed on my doorstep by Thursday.
There was a little hiccup with customs paperwork from UPS that delayed things, but it all worked out in the end.
Now, let’s talk about the rims—they look absolutely fantastic! I’m checking their durability, especially since they need to handle some serious performance, graded for 12s.
The hard compound and soft center are definitely up for scrutiny.
Plus, the aluminum piece around the hex and the hub design really stand out, showing they’ve put some thought into the aesthetics with cool logos on the nuts.
Overall, it’s been a pretty slick experience!.
What makes electric fifth scale cars unique?
This electric fifth scale car really shines with features that are hard to find in other models.
Plus, it’s super affordable, which is definitely a win.
Unlike many fifth scales that need a bit of tweaking to go electric, this one is ready to roll right out of the box.
You can choose to run it on 8s, or if you’re feeling adventurous, upgrade to 12s for some serious performance boosts.
And let’s not forget about the stylish design—those red accents are a nice touch that really makes it stand out!

What makes a motor mount durable?
Let’s dive into the nitty-gritty of a super durable motor mount! So, first off, it’s built with a metal stirring rack, which really adds to its durability.
This bad boy can handle a hefty motor, likely the M60 or M62, and weighs in at a solid 182 pen.
One of the cool features is that you can easily adjust the mesh—just loosen it, slide it around, and then tighten it back up.
Even though it’s an older design, people are really digging its bracing and overall look..
How Do Motor and Battery Compatibility Work?
So, if you’re thinking about swapping out the motor, keep in mind that you might have to shift around the battery tray, but it all looks pretty good.
You can easily fit 12s with two 7200 100C batteries in there thanks to a snug tray design that stops them from sliding around.
Now, if you’re comparing this setup with the MCD W5, they might look similar at first glance, but trust me, they’re quite different, especially when you dig into the motor mounts and battery trays.
The MCD is a bit longer, and sure, it’s seen some dirt, but that’s what makes the comparison interesting.
Plus, having the bodies on lets those cut-out windows help with cooling, even though it might invite a bit more dirt to the party..

Why is First Place So Important?“
Getting stuck in second place can really be a drag since you’re catching all that dirt from the front-runner, so it’s best to shoot for the top spot.
Now, even though the McD and another vehicle might look pretty similar in size, when you dig a little deeper, you’ll see they have some major differences under the hood.
The McD is actually a tad longer and wider, measuring about an inch more than its competitor.
Right now, we’re setting up the Smithmaster RCMK one-tenth scale electric Basher on the McD for some performance testing.
Stay tuned; we’ve got more exciting updates coming your way!.
