observations from Initial Testing

We are Smithmaster Co., Ltd., a company that has developed and is currently exporting the RC car “Smithmaster” to countries such as the United States, Canada, and France.

Today, we would like to introduce a video review by a YouTuber named “JujuRCcut” about observations from initial testing of smithmaster SCR PRO!

observations from Initial Testing of SmithMaster SCR Pro

Testing the Smith Master SCR Pro with the Hobbywing combo is ongoing, and it initially seems promising, especially with the included sensor. Some maintenance issues have been noticed, specifically a lack of oil in certain bearings, requiring attention. The equipment performs differently in reverse, and these changes significantly impact the driving experience and handling. There is a noteworthy improvement in steering, though participants are advised to be cautious during testing. The ability to dismantle parts such as the rear pin facilitates repairs and maintenance without needing to replace entire components, although it presents challenges if the parts detach unexpectedly.

Insights on the Smithmaster SCR PRO Combo

as one unexpectedly detached but was fortunately found inside the chassis. The cardan pins purchased from Bricovis are considered a failure and not the right choice. The material of the cardan pins is subpar, which has been previously discussed. The specific material of the pins cannot be recalled, but there is a plan to reorder them in steel for improved durability. Additional steel pins were already ordered for LIF, providing a backup supply. The machine operates exceptionally well, with minor issues largely attributed to the user’s choices in parts selection.Adjustments to certain components have improved handling, yet caution is advised on rough terrains due to the machine’s inertia. The performance on jumps and bumps is impressive; the driver notes that it handles these challenges without significant issues. A major takeaway is the price- performance ratio of the equipment; while higher-end combos cost around €400, the driving experience is significantly enhanced. Maintenance observations include problems with non-original parts, leading to plans for reinstating original Losi parts to improve durability.

Performance Insights of the Smith Master SCR PRO

The machine operates very well overall, despite some minor issues that are largely attributed to personal error. There was a need to improve the quality of the cardan pins, indicating a potential drawback in cost-saving choices. The reviewer expressed satisfaction with the machine’s durability and performance so far. Increased stiffness in the initial setup has improved handling, particularly in curves. Caution is advised when navigating bumps, as the machine shows significant inertia leading to potential nose diving.
