Ready to Test the SCR PRO on Circuit?
We’re gearing up to take the Scr Pro for a spin in 12S mode on the track, and fingers crossed, we don’t end up damaging the body.
Just like in our earlier tests, we’ve decided to remove the body shell to keep it safe, so we’ll be rolling it out in a bare or ‘desert buggy’ style.
This vehicle is absolutely massive and packs a serious punch! If you’ve ever driven the Mignang Carac buggy, you’ll definitely notice how different this one feels..
How to Keep Your 12S Tank Running Smoothly?
So, I’m working with a 12S tank that runs on Lip Var 7000 batteries—they’ve got a solid discharge rate, which is pretty cool.
The key here is to keep a close eye on the rear driveshaft and the transmission, because you really want everything to run without a hitch.
I learned that the hard way when I lost a pin from the rear driveshaft and ended up with some overheating issues.
Talk about a lesson in being vigilant about high temperatures! Oh, and I’ve also got this annoying cracking noise that popped up after I used thread lock on the pinion, which might mean I need to break out the red Loctite to sort it out.
It’s a bit of a bummer dealing with these issues, but hey, that’s part of the game..
Why Is Caution Key on This Ride?
Riding can be a bit nerve-wracking, right? Especially when you notice a couple nearby and hear that eerie creaking sound.
It definitely makes you want to keep your mouth and eyes closed! I’m always on high alert, keeping an eye on the gear to make sure everything’s stable—so far, so good.
Oh, and I went all out with the thread locker, even using it on the X, so let’s see how that holds up!.
What are the next steps in testing?
Alright, so let’s dive into what’s next in our testing phase! First off, we really need to tackle that pesky color red, but it seems to be stubbornly stuck no matter how much we try to heat it off.
We also had a chat about an item that’s getting some solid love with a rating of 8C thanks to its smooth gliding performance.
Plus, the buzz is that the FB will shine even more in a 12S setup, but it looks like the buggy B is falling short.
And don’t forget, there’s a hole that we’ve got to fix up too..
How Do Original Tires Perform in Real Life?
So, let’s talk about the original tires! They’re pretty affordable, priced at around €1,170 at Smithmaster, and honestly, they provide a fantastic riding experience.
I’ve had some rough rides, but I’m pretty confident in their durability and performance, plus they balance out really well.
Just to be safe, I always carry a spare tire with me in case anything goes wrong.
However, I’ve noticed some weird issues with the gear; it seems like it should work fine, but it could be the switch acting up after some jumps..
